Upsview

Upsview allow to monitor local connected UPS or remote UPS (UPS connected to other computers or SNMP adapters). Upsview allow to monitor one UPS, but you may start some parallel instance of Upsview to monitor different UPS.

The tree

Local: the subtree local show to the user all UPS that are controlled from the local Upsagent. If the software version is FULL will be possible to view also parallel group defined in Upsetup.
Note: the UPS controlled from local Upsagent could be connected to the host from serial port or from TCP/IP in agreement with the Ups parameters page of Upsetup.

Remote: the subtree remote show to the user all compatible UPS that are present in the network (browsing over the LAN) and that are controlled from other Upsagent or SNMP adapter. To view all UPS and/or refresh view, click on the relative menu voice. Otherwise the popupmenu voice Choice IP Address permits to view one UPS controlled from Upsagent or SNMP adapter present at that IP Address. Remote connection is via TCP/IP protocol. The default port the Upsagent is working is 33000.
Note: this feature may to be conflicted by network firewall or similar. Then try ask network administrator if is allowed broadcast packets on the LAN.

Modem Connection: the subtree modem connection permits the user to connect (via modem) to one UPS.

ATTENTION: one click (left mouse button) on the UPS will show in the right side the displays of the UPS (see below). One click (right mouse button) on the UPS will show a popupmenu from which will be possible to show the properties of this UPS.

The displays:

Standard: the window of the Status Chart displays the most important operating data of your UPS-system. For further information on this data please refer to the UPS-system manual. When the operating status is critical the displayed colors will change to red.



Detail: detailed information about all measured values from UPS. Here you may show all possible voltages, currents or other values for detail information about UPS status.



Block Scheme: the colors of the UPS block scheme show, how critical the situation for the UPS and your system is. Green means Ok and working. Gray means that the object is present but not used at the moment and red means an error or problem at this object - or - values in a critical range: in this case system shutdown and/or technical service may be needed.
